Mr. Aaba Bagul said, "Pune Municipal Corporation is creating an ambitious project 'Vasundhara Jaiv-vaividhya Udyan' (a biodiversity garden) on 107 acre of Taljai Hill. Environmental friendly people were working here to save the green patch and protect the animals till the date. Taljai Hill was always provided with the water tankers. But now, through the Grey Water Processing Project at the Late Vasantrao Bagul Garden, water is at the doorstep with the two and half kilometers pipeline. Five lacs litre of water will be available every day. From hereon, Taljai Hill can be seen green throughout the year. The same water will be used for the 'Vasundhara Jaiv-vaividhya Udyan' project. Because of this project, geological water level will increase. Water availability for trees and animals and conserving the Hill have made the environmental-friendly people happy. Like Nehru Stadium, a playground covering one lac sqft area is completed. 300 kilowatt's solar energy project will start soon. Mr. Bagul said that for the safety reasons, the area will be under CCTV surveillance.
Raju Dhariya said, such projects are needed in the upcoming future. This project will minimize the pressure on drinking water. Projects of such kind should be built everywhere to increase the geological water level and encourage water recycling. This work by Aaba Bagul for the environment is commendable. His vision is admirable. He has initiated many competent projects for this city.
R. C. Mahulkar said, instead of spending thousands of crores rupees on Jayka Project, water recycling projects shall be planned for the big gutters in the city. Sachin Punekar said, this project is a guiding path for protecting habitants of other forest animals, alongwith the forest area. Our country needs such projects. Everybody needs to step forward for it. We should specially thank our former Deputy Mayor Mr. Aaba Bagul. He truly has encouraged for the conservation of the environment. Shailendra Patel praised this project and expected that the Municipal Corporation should make some arrangements in its budget for such projects. Environmental friendly people sent a letter to the Commissioner requesting that the Municipal Corporation shall make arrangement of Rs. 100 Cr in the budget to encourage Grey Water Processing Project and increase use of recycled water. People supported Mr. Aaba Bagul for his work. 'We are coming here with water bottles since last thirty years but availability of water now has revived the preservation of hills and only Mr. Aaba Bagul can do such work,' one of the people present there praised.
